FUNK REMAINZ
Battle Formats
Funk Remainz exists because Colorado had no funk-styles battle — we're the only ones hosting this experience. The 1v1 Funk Styles battle is the heart of the floor; 3v3 Open Styles brings the crews; and the Triple Crown Cypher is our brand-new finale this year.
1v1 Funk Styles
Popping, locking, boogaloo, waacking & all funk styles. Pure funk foundation, head to head — the reason Funk Remainz exists, and the only funk-styles jam in Colorado.
3v3 Open Styles
Crews collide — all open styles, all energy, team chemistry on the line.
Triple Crown Cyphers
Funk. Club. Street. Dancers cypher in the circle of their style. One dancer rises from each — Funk, Club, Street — then the three clash to crown the champion style.
Triple Crown Cypher
New for Vol. 2 — a ~15-minute finale layered on top of the funk-styles battles, not the main event. Dancers cypher in the circle of their style: Funk, Club, or Street. One rises from each, then the three clash to crown the champion style. Tap a circle to see what each holds.

Your Donation Moves the Culture
Vol. 1 proved a thesis: give Northern Colorado a real funk-styles stage and the whole region answers. Drawn from registration records and verified social reach, here is the measurable impact — on our community, our state, and the culture itself.
Three in five dancers returned from past Foco Flava / Machinez Remainz events; the rest stepped on the floor for the first time. In a city that is ~85% white (U.S. Census), Vol. 1 built a markedly more diverse room — the cultural home the region was missing.
32 dancers traveled from Denver, Boulder, Loveland, Longmont, Aurora and Greeley — some from Florida and Hawaii — to the only funk-styles battle in Colorado. Vol. 2 widens the draw with Colorado Springs and Pueblo now in reach.
Views the month of the jam, +818% reach and 439 shares — spread by the community, not ads. A 4,300-strong following keeps the funk-styles lineage visible, taught, and battled in real life.
White, Asian / Asian-American, Black / African-American, Hispanic / Latine, Indigenous, and Multiracial dancers shared the same floor.
Men, women, non-binary, genderqueer, and Two-Spirit dancers — a full spectrum, all welcome.
From 13 to 35+, anchored by dancers 25–34. Two-thirds with 6–10 years in; a quarter just getting started.
Fort Collins is roughly 85% white (U.S. Census). Funk Remainz built a markedly more diverse room — the cultural space the region was missing.
What your donation builds: Vol. 2 stays free to watch, pays the artists and judges who carry these styles, and protects the only funk-styles stage in Colorado — so the next 13-year-old and the next traveling crew both have a floor. The culture only remains if we keep the lights on.

The Archive Keeps Moving
In July 2025, Foco Flava and Machinez Remainz lit the first Funk Remainz. It started underground — a street-dance session in Old Town, 120 flyers passed hand to hand, and a room that filled with dancers who came to battle, cypher, and build. People left talking; some still don't know how they found it. Vol. 2 is the next mark in the archive.
Every round becomes part of the archive. Every cypher leaves a signal.
Built for expression, community, culture, energy, and legacy.
Funk Remainz is more than a battle. It is a space where dancers, DJs, artists, and community come together to honor foundation, push style, and build legacy through movement.
